This book reviews emerging nanomaterials in catalysis and sensors. The catalysis section covers the role of nano-photocatalysts in organic synthesis and health care application, oxidation and sulphoxidation reactions, liquid phase oxidation, hydrogen evolution and environmental remediation. It highlights the correlation of surface properties and catalytic activity of the mesoporous materials. The sensor section discusses the fabrication and development of various electrochemical, chemical, and biosensors. Nanostructured materials have attracted intensive scientific attention because, at the nanoscale level, unique electrical, magnetic, optical and mechanical properties emerge. The size- dependent properties of nanostructured materials provide the highest potentials for increasing performance and extending their applications in many diverse fields, such as sensors, display technology, energy storage and energy conversion process, catalysis, pharmaceutical and biomedical. Sensors are devices that are frequently used to detect a variable quantity, commonly electronically, and sensors convert the measurement into specific signals.

The focus of this book is kinematic and dynamic control of a single mobile robot or a group of them. New simple and integrated solutions are presented for tasks of positioning, trajectory tracking and path following. Control of Ground and Aerial Robots synthesizes new results on control of mobile robots developed by M.Sc. and Ph.D. students supervised by the authors. The robots considered are wheeled mobile platforms, with emphasis on differential drive vehicles, and the multirotor aerial robots. Integrated control solutions based on the technique of feedback linearization are proposed to guide either a single robot or a homogeneous/heterogeneous group of mobile robots. Examples on the use of the proposed controllers are also provided. Finally, Control of Ground and Aerial Robots is intended to help graduate and advanced undergraduate students in engineering, as well as researchers in the area of robot control, to design controllers to autonomously guide the more common mobile platforms.

This text discusses sensitivity parametric analysis for the single tuned filter parameters and presents an optimization-based method for solving the allocation problem of the distributed generation units and capacitor banks in distribution systems. It also highlights the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques such as water cycle algorithms in solving power quality problems such as over-voltage and harmonic distortion. This book proposes two procedures for improving the power quality (PQ) of the distribution systems. The considered PQ parameters are voltage profile, voltage deviation, voltage stability index and harmonic distortion in smart distribution systems. One of the most important features of smart distribution systems is the presence of distributed generation units (DGs). Therefore, the positive and negative effects of the DGs on distribution system PQ are studied. The first proposed procedure is concerned with determining the optimal placement and sizing of DGs and CBs in distribution system for improving the system PQ besides other technical, economic, and environmental benefits. Also, this book proposes single-tuned filters (STFs) as an effective tool for mitigating the harmonic distortion in distribution systems. A parametric analysis is presented for determining the effect of different filter parameters on its performance, which helps system designers obtain the optimal filter design that can mitigate specific harmonic orders.

The use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can release considerable efficiency potential for organizations and thus create new opportunities for employees without having to set up costly (IT) projects. The increasing response from practitioners and the high growth expectations for the RPA market in the coming years are therefore not surprising. However, the necessary prerequisites, functionalities and steps for the introduction of this new technology are more extensive than one might initially suspect. Freely available literature and documentation on this are unfortunately usually superficial, not very objective or incomplete. For this reason, we decided to systematize our many years of experience with the use of RPA software and to document it in an easily understandable and practical manner. The new or further development of numerous digitization technologies in recent years has contributed to the evolution of RPA into so-called Intelligent Process Automation (IPA). IPA combines RPA with other digitization technologies in order to give classic software robots more advanced (cognitive) capabilities.
