Polymerized nanoparticles and nanofibers can be prepared using various processes, such as chemical synthesis, the electrochemical method, electrospinning, ultrasonic irradiation, hard and soft templates, seeding polymerization, interfacial polymerization, and plasma polymerization. Among these processes, plasma polymerization and aerosol-through-plasma (A-T-P) processes have versatile advantages, especially due to them being "dry", for the deposition of plasma polymer films and carbon-based materials with functional properties suitable for a wide range of applications, such as electronic and optical devices, protective coatings, and biomedical materials. Furthermore, it is well known that plasma polymers are highly cross-linked, pinhole free, branched, insoluble, and adhere well to most substrates. In order to synthesize the polymer films using the plasma processes, therefore, it is very important to increase the density and electron temperature of plasma during plasma polymerization.

The rising share of photovoltaic (PV) energy requires sophisticated digital techniques to control, monitor and integrate them with the grid. For movable systems, tracking is necessary. Digital technologies are defined as electronic tools, a set of technologies, systems, devices and resources that generate, transmit, store or process data. These technologies can be integrated into PV systems to predict, optimize, monitor and control their energy production in the most appropriate and efficient way, for fault detection and diagnosis, as well as for the prediction of PV panel performance, degradation and fatigue failure. Therefore, the main objective of this book is to present relevant works on the integration of digital technologies in PV systems: from general to rural and remote installations. The book focuses on the latest research and developments in remote PV energy system integration. It aims to provide extensive coverage of current research and developmental activities, and new approaches intended to overcome several critical limitations in the use of remote PV systems, such as those connected to grid and water pumps.
