В книге рассмотрены вопросы выбора и рационального применения смазочно-охлаждающих технологических средств (СОТС) при шлифовании абразивными инструментами. Дан анализ механизма действия СОТС и их влияния на эффективность процесса шлифования. Приведены сведения о физических и эксплуатационных свойствах СОТС. Описаны современные способы и средства очистки смазочно-охлаждающих жидкостей (СОЖ) и борьбы с их разбрызгиванием при шлифовании. Изложена сущность, преимущества и недостатки, определены области применения известных в настоящее время способов использования (подачи) СОТС.
Рассмотрены пути и средства повышения эффективности действия СОТС при шлифовании, а также теоретические основы нового струйно-напорного внезонного способа подачи СОЖ. На основе экспериментального материала и обобщения опыта промышленного применения показаны технико-экономическая эффективность нового способа и влияние способа подачи СОЖ на износ, затупление и засаливание шлифовальных кругов, силы резания и мощность шлифования, шероховатость поверхности, точность геометрической формы и эксплуатационные свойства шлифованных деталей, производительность шлифования. Даны рекомендации для промышленного применения струйно-напорного внезонного способа подачи СОЖ при шлифовании.
