В сборнике излагаются результаты исследования лаборатории ядерной геофизики по разработке новых приборов и методик. Рассматриваются возможности применения комплекса ядерных методов для определения плотности и пористости пластов. Значительное место уделяется вопросам разработки новых двухлучевых плотномеров и методики исследования скважин на различные полезные ископаемые. Помимо этого в сборнике рассматриваются приспособления, используемые для извлечения приборов из скважин при ликвидации аварии, а также вопросы техники радиационной безопасности, связанной с эксплуатацией малогабаритного микротрона. Описаны характеристики сцинтилляционных датчиков с импульсным управлением, а также трехсантиметровый микротрон, созданный в Институте, и схема вычитания для скважинного прибора.
