This is a delightful book, giving insight into the whole process of the creation and approval of squadron patches of the United States Navy. A very colourful and entertaining view of a highly neglected area of naval history. The authors provide a thorough spread of colour photographs of patches, and give a damning conclusion on how political correctness, even back in 1990, was sucking the freedom of expression from this wonderful form of art.
