В коллективной монографии излагаются физические процессы и механизмы, приводящие к снижению эффективности преобразования неэлектрических величин в электрический ток. Изучается природа возрастания обратных токов р-п-переходов и диодов Шоттки связанная с образованием рекомбинационных центров в областях пространственного заряда этих приборов. Разработана модель переноса носителей заряда, которая объединяет и обобщает известные механизмы формирования обратных токов, а именно: диффузионный, прыжковый и туннельный, формулирует критерии преобладания конкретного механизма. В работе рассчитана вероятность электронных переходов с учетом электрон-фононного взаимодействия, которая объясняет быстрое нарастание обратных токов с ростом приложенного напряжения.
